Welcoming 17th Century free house in an attractive village just off the A19 trunk route. Although doors have been removed the design gives the impression of a multi-roomed pub, and the low-beamed ceiling of the two main rooms gives a very traditional feel. The There are generally two guest beers on tap, usually from smaller Yorkshire breweries, for which the landlord is a keen advocate. Outside is a large beer garden, with one or two beer festivals a year. Currently does not do food.
Hosts Community Dog Walk every two months.
