This pub, built in 1865, opposite the station has been completely reconstructed and refurbished. It now boasts a centre bar area and large conservatory. It is named after famous engineer Thomas Crampton, who built the nearby water tower and worked for Great Western Railway, therefore keeping the railway connection alive.
