Attractive whitewashed crossroads pub dating back to 1825, which was reopened in 2014 by a consortium of local business people but is now back in private ownership. The cosy bar has exposed stone and wood-panelled walls along with roaring fires in winter. The fine vintage bar counter and gantry were recovered from the now-closed Corporation Arms at Canty's Bridge. There is also an attractive restaurant which can be hired for functions. Families are very welcome until 9pm. The pub’s sign is a tribute to local racing driver the late Jim Clark, of whom there are also many interesting photos in the bar. At times there is a house beer from Born Brewery called Racing Green.
NOTE: May close earlier in winter. May also open lunchtimes on weekdays in summer.
