A revitalised and friendly 18th-century listed country inn. The real ales are usually from smaller breweries as shown by the numerous pumpclips festooning the beams. The cosy front bar has a wood-burning stove and tables for dining and drinking. Excellent home-cooked food is served in both the bar and the well-appointed restaurant to the rear which opens out on to an area of decking with views to the countryside beyond. The menu changes on a regular basis and there is a Sunday Roast every week. There is also an additional back room with comfy settees and a TV.
NOTE: Pub may close early if no custom. Former Travelsure bus service withdrawn Oct 2023. Winter hours shown.
