Brown, with an aroma of sweet malt and rich fruitcake. Very smooth with all of the normal flavours you would expect n this style of beer. There is a slight bitter edge which suggests the beer is still young. [Brewed in Nov 2023 ] Long smooth lingering aftertaste.

Judging for the competition takes around a year, starting with individual nominations from CAMRA members and tasting panel nominations, leading to a series of rigorous regional heats adhering to a strict blind tasting policy.
