Description

Bowness Bay Brewing moved to Kendal in 2015 and increased capacity from five to 16 barrels. Now expanded to a 2,500-litre, automated, four-vessel brewing system, capable of brewing up to six times a day. The original five-barrel plant is used for small experimental brews. In 2020 grant funding allowed further expansion into keg beers. Onsite taphouse, the Barrel House, showcases the core range and seasonal specials. A live music space, the Venue, hosting beer festivals, weddings and private parties, opened 2021. Beers are also produced under the Appleby Brewery name.
