Description

Downham Isle Brewery opened in 2016 in Little Downham, in the north eastern Cambridgeshire fens. Brewing real and craft ales, the customer base spans the Isle of Ely, Cambridge and Dusseldorf. Artisan small-batch brewing methods are used. The brewery moved to premises in Littleport in 2021. Normally four core ales are brewed, both cask and bottle conditioned. New beers, including specialist niche beers and seasonal beers, are planned during the currency of this Guide.

Downham Isle - Brewery Tour

As the name suggests there is a microbrewery on the premises. The tour consists of viewing the brewery and its equipment. Also, a discussion on full mash microbrewing and the current climate for microbrewers, to include the drivers – opportunities, associated with the microbrewing industry.
