Woodland

14 Market Street Penistone, Sheffield, S36 6BZ

Description

Established in 2017 producing bottled and keg beers, the brewery moved into cask production in 2019, winning CAMRA awards the same year. Originally brewing from his residence, owner/brewer David Hampshaw soon relocated the two-barrel brewery into a taphouse in Penistone town centre. The brewery has been expanded to a five-barrel system, allowing for an increased range, a greater focus on cask ale, and wider distribution. Cans were introduced in 2020. The brewery is named after the highly-prized, local, whitefaced woodland sheep.
