Former Marstons pub near the main A61 road, now a popular free house with an enthusiastic licensee serving a variety of changing cask ales. Tastefully refurbished with a theme paying tribute to former local coal mines and featuring a plethora of plates and other memorabilia adorning the walls. Large fully enclosed garden with lawn and hanging baskets; has a weatherproof marquee with heater for winter use. No main meals but supplies free food for regular pub events and has a popular'Beerpig' warm pork crackling machine.
