This Pub is Closed Long Term
Built in 1746 to cope with the increasing coaching traffic this traditional town pub now caters mainly for the local community, although visitors are most welcome.
Ideal accommodation for bird watching at the nearby RSPB Nature Reserve and local historical attractions. The food offering consists of home-made pies and pasties. There is a memorial to Bill Marshall, spitfire pilot, in the lobby.
