Large, 17th Century coaching inn offering a variety of freshly cooked meals, daily specials, home-made desserts and a long wine list. Enjoy the large, riverside garden and marquee in summer, and crackling log fires in winter. With a variety of rooms holding up to 110 seated guests, it can cater for corporate and private functions including weddings and anniversaries. The magnificent, oak-panelled restaurant was once a local court room.

Victorian traveller and writer Edward Fitzgerald stayed here while translating the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam.
