Built as a hunting lodge but used as a pub for the workers on the Melchboune estate. The L-shaped bar opens into a conservatory and large garden. A second room is used for dining and for skittles and darts. There are camping facilities in the field. Beers are on three handpumps. Current manager Michael (who also runs the Swan at Newton Bromswold) and Samantha took over the pub in October '22 with no kitchen facilities. The pub has restarted doing food - Sunday roast was planned for June - more details of meal times and menu to come. No website yet but the Facebook page is active and with details of food service.
