Pub reopened under new management after extensive refurbishment on 9 January 2016. It now has a fresh new look with natural wood furniture in the front bar. The sides of wooden crates for wine and port bottles have been used to decorate the bar which has a pale wood counter. A new kitchen has been installed. Traditional pub which dates back to the 17th century. There are plenty of footpaths for country walks nearby. At the rear of the pub is a new conservatory giving access to the garden. Imaginative British menu with traditional favourites as well as daily specials. Three real ales (two from West Berkshire Brewery), four lagers, local cider and Guinness. 'Well behaved guests are welcome with their dogs.'
