Large, traditional two-roomed pub of enormous character, built around 1900, with a comfortable lounge and more basic bar, imposingly set on the square. Note the historic etched windows in the bar. Thursday night is quiz night and there is a pleasant beer garden at the rear. There is usually up to five cask ales from the Marston's portfolio available; note that the pub may not open until in the week during the winter months. Visit the pub on Facebook.
