March 2024 - now it is Bonzai - really more of a food venue and cocktail bar. No idea if it serves tap beer but from reading the menu it does not seem to - just bottled.
6 November 2022 - reopened as Regents Lounge - "Only bottles at the moment then Keg in a weeks time they said. Doubt they will do cask but good to see it reopen."
09/07/21 - from our local reporter, "I am standing in front of the pub now; it is no longer a pub, and has been converted into a privately-run coronavirus-testing centre, run by a firm called Corona Test Centre."
This pub closed in May 2013 but in October 2014 reopened after a make-over styling itself as a gastro pub with new name "White Mustache" offering coffee, craft beer. With craft keg taps and three handpumps. On a visit in Jan 2017 there was a 3.7% beer named White Mustache (brewed by Greene King) plus a beer from Belhaven. Hammerton N1 was the third. However, in an Oct 2018 visit, only the house beer was available. Plenty of searing in a large room broken into two areas around an L-shaped bar.

The Champion Beer of Britain is one of the most prestigious beer competitions in the world. It is the ultimate honour for UK brewers and has helped put many into the national spotlight.
Judging for the competition takes around a year, starting with individual nominations from CAMRA members and tasting panel nominations, leading to a series of rigorous regional heats adhering to a strict blind tasting policy.
