Historic Interest

A notice in the Suffolk Chronicle** on Apr-17 in 1813 reports the death of Mrs I ROBINSON aged 77, who kept this pub for 45 years. Former 16th cent. courthouse converted to a pub during 18th cent, though still used for the petty sessions after conversion, these were reported to be held in the Crown Inn in 1766.
