An important part of the local community since the 17th century, with a well-preserved courtroom upstairs which held its last trial in 1839 and is now used for functions, this grade 2 listed pub has several cosy areas including a separate snug. Extensive, tasteful refurbishment has provided a welcoming, cosy atmosphere. Guest beers from various breweries change frequently, also usually at least one cider on handpull. No food at present. Discount on cask ales on Monday which is Ale Club day.
