Large, semi-open plan pub/restaurant in a Grade-II Listed, 16th Century building located opposite Holy Trinity church. The main bar area is L-shaped, surrounding the servery, and traditionally furnished. The building retains some original beams and there is an impressive fireplace by the main bar. There are five handpumps offering a regular beer, up to three guests and a cider. Real ale is offered at a reduced price on Mondays. A restaurant area is located to the rear although it is possible to eat in the bar areas too. Various food deals are available with some running Monday to Saturday. Brunch breakfasts are offered everyday until noon. There is a steak offer on Thursdays. Blue Light cardholders can benefit from a 20% discount on food. A quiz is held on Mondays. Live music takes place on the first Saturday of the month and on bank holidays. An annual beer festival is held over the Spring Bank Holiday in May.
