Wolverhampton's second micropub
A welcome addition in an area where many pubs have closed down, this spacious micro-pub opened in June 2018 in a former branch of Barclay's Bank boasts a custom built bar and seating for around 40 people. A small side room houses a large sofa and a cupboard stocked with board games.
There are four ever changing cask ales, one of which is always a dark beer, up to five ciders/perries and a selection of fruit wines, cocktails(with a twist) and bottled beers.
The Keg & Comfort is a Community pub, and intends to follow the ethos of the micro-pubs; no loud music, fruit machines, TV sports, etc. It is all about conversation and being social, something that has been lost in recent years. A small number of board games, cards, etc., are available and there are books to read or swap.
Serving and retired service and armed forces personnel get a 10p discount on the cask ales or ciders, not on bottles. Proof must be provided.
Note that the pub is also open on occasional Wednesdays for one-off events and anyone is welcome to join the monthly Jam Session (check their FaceBook page for specific event details).
