Pub is named after the local legend of Merlin and an ancient Oak tree which is depicted throughout the premises. Reopened in December 2021 following an extensive refurbishment which includes a new first floor dining area and extensive roof terrace. Local Welsh ales are always available as well as a good selection of ales from around the UK. It has a good selection of bottled and canned Craft Ale, both local and international in origin. There are international beer festivals in the spring and autumn and a summer cider festival. Food served all day.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 5 regular beers.
