This pub is situated next to Lowestoft's bascule bridge. The bar is now owned by Moss & Co. There are two sets of three hand pumps serving real ale from local breweries such as Adnams, Ampersand, Green Jack and Lacons and a new round bar offering craft beers and cocktails, whilst The Hatch serves takeaway coffee and tea. The pub is surrounded on three sides by a paved area which came about as part of a major esplanade improvement in 2007. Outside there is a patio area.
