A bar-mounted gravity stillage is a welcome sight on entering this 17th-century village pub with a delightful interior featuring stone-flagged floors and ancient wood furniture. The bar is well stocked with magazines and books, while outside is a Mediterranean garden for quiet enjoyment, complete with a petanque court, leading to a secluded beer garden and a pelotta wall dating from Napoleonic times. Cider is served in summer.
The pub has won many food awards for its excellent cuisine.
