A traditional 17th century inn with open plan rooms either side of the bar and a mix of flagstones and wooden flooring. In the flagstone area there is a raised wood-burning stove which makes it very welcoming in winter. Guitar and ukuleles ready for any visiting musicians. Landlord Mike Cable ensures his staff are friendly and helpful at the bar and restaurant. The pub holds good speciality nights.
As well as cask ales there is a selection of up to seven local ciders at the bar. The owner is a gin lover and more than 100 types available.
Outside is a large walled beer garden with an enclosed smoking area which features a wood burning stove. The Inn is dog friendly and very popular with walkers. The Parrett trail passes nearby. Quiz every Sunday evening.
