The Carpenters Arms is a 14th century pub in the rural village of Eastling. It boasts two huge inglenook fireplaces and a patio area for warmer days. Home cooked meals and light snacks are available and two Shepherd Neame beers are on handpump. Families and dogs are welcome and there are many good walks in the area.
Nearby is an ancient yew tree (in the Church Yard).
