Traditional town centre pub with an entrance of a passage adjacent to St Peter's Church. Formerly two pubs, the Green Man, which dates back to the 17th century and the Eagle, Ryan's is now one large room on two levels and features live music on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. There is a full menu of lunchtime meals (including generous portions of beef roasts) every day. For those who like old buildings, it's worth having a look at the pub from the churchyard.
