Friendly historic pub in a tiny hamlet approached by steep roads or riverside footpath. It has three snugs each with a real fire to keep out the winter chill and is a good base to explore the surrounding countryside. Extra seating is provided across the road in two areas adjoining the car park.
The Turkey has a pool table, holds a quiz night, and hosts occasional live music and special theme nights. On Thursdays (and throughout November 2024) all cask ales are £3.30 a pint. Food is available every day. Two guest beers are always available, all on hand-pulls. This can increase to four at times.
The irregular K14 bus stops at the door. The half-hourly Keighley Jets K1 service (day-time only) terminates in Laycock, less than 10 minutes walk away up a very steep hill.
Historic Interest
The stained glass windows facing the road are replicas of the original Aaron King windows which survived until 2014.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 3 regular beers.
