Situated in one of A.E. Housman's "quietest places under the sun", the Crown is quite a trail-blazer! The pub was closed in the mid 90's, and under threat from possible re-development. But a consortium of locals got together, bought it and re-opened it in March 1995. The result is a well used and friendly village pub. The cosy bar is probably the focal point and is where the buzz of conversation can be heard (with no WiFi to distract!). Another room is available for games and TV and is where the pub's various teams can be found; additionally, diners have their own space. An amusing feature is the "western style" door to the gents toilet, but the Ladies is not apparently similarly blessed! The pub is a part of the annual Clun Valley beer festival, and was once owned by the Wrekin Brewery of Wellington.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
