A thriving community pub situated between the Highfields and Western Downs estates which opened 7 April 1990. On Fridays there is an Upcycle Club where people can bring old furniture & get help rejuvenating it. The Saturday toddler group, "Tiny Tots at the Ox" is very popular. Customers can borrow books from a library. Stafford Arts & Craft Group hold meetings on Mondays 7.30-9.30. Events include a Family Fun Day in July, a Halloween Party, a official switching on of the Christmas lights event with a shoebox collection for people in need. The Ox is something of an animal sanctuary with ducks, hens, a pig, rabbits, macaws and an iguana. The pub hosts the Pub Church at the Ox (https://www.facebook.com/pubchurchstafford) fortnightly on Sundays 7pm-8pm There is only one beer available, this is to ensure a quick turnover to maintain quality; a fresh cask is put on every other day and the price is very reasonable. Sunday lunches are served 12-3. Breakfasts served from 9-12 on Friday & Saturday.
