Suburban pub in the upmarket dormitory town of Formby, close to the National Trust Pinewoods and hence where its name comes from. In the aftermath of the national lockdown the pub has extended its outdoor seating facilities and it was well placed to reopen for al fresco drinking and eating. Food is reasonably priced and the pub also accepts discount vouchers for CAMRA members. It is also situated less than ten minutes walk from Freshfield railway station
