This Pub is Closed Long Term
This traditional Victorian pub to the north of the village has recently changed hands but remains a free house. It is now run by Jim Teasdale who until recently was landlord of the nearby Victoria Arms. Visitors receive a friendly welcome. Four real ales are now served. The real fire is a particular joy. Home-cooked food is available every day. The pub does not open on Sunday evenings. The Skittle Alley is a noteworthy feature, a rare survival in the area and goes from strength to strength.
Planning application ref: 19/00190/FUL Erection of single storey front and rear extensions and two storey side extension and change of use of land to form additional car parking area. APPROVED. Looks like the intent is to re-open but work is still not complete.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 4 regular beers.
