Ungentrified East End pub. Built by Trumans, in the interwar period by the look of it. Originally the Northumberland Arms, the story goes that it was renamed (decades ago) because the local T&G used to meet in the upstairs room. Prominent building in dark brick with natural stone features. Refurbished and now a modern bar/Restaurant.
Red House, Plaistow
