Corner pub near the town centre on the way from the railway station, almost opposite police station. The pub was extensively refurbished in the 1980s, removing the individual rooms to leave an open-plan yet separate areas too. The walls are adorned with a wide range of cigarette cards in display cases, and photographs, many of railway engines. Quiz nights are held on on Tues, Sat and Sundays.
