Thought to have been built around the 1840s as a halfway point on the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal. A large village pub with a distinctive Simonds Brewery pub sign depicting a large hop leaf. Simonds eventually amalgamated with Courage Brewery. Inside there is a public bar and lounge. There is sometimes a weekend disco/karaoke in the lounge. Good sized function room upstairs.
