A 19th Century country pub, on the Somerset border and close to the Grand Western Canal. The area is popular with walkers and cyclists. The bar area features unusual cash register handpumps, mounted on the back wall. Varied home-cooked food, with a carvery on Sundays, and there are also regular food themed nights. A large cylindrical log-burning stove warms the pub in winter. There is a darts and games area. An attractive enclosed walled garden is popular in summer.
