The pub stands on the portion of Prestbury Road nearest the town and now a cul-de-sac. It was built in the 1860s as a typical Victorian street-corner pub. The friendly and welcoming bar leads into four separate rooms and an outdoor drinking and smoking area. Sky & BT football matches are shown on TV.
Sunday lunches available to order.
The pub is decorated with photos of old Macclesfield. Children are welcome until 8pm.
Last orders is 30 minutes before closing time.
