The interior consists of one large, elongated U-shaped room. Popular with Rugby supporters and frequented by Birstall Rugby team whose team photographs adorn the walls. No meals are served, but snacks including cobs, pork pies and Scotch eggs are available. From Spring 2024, the pub was under the same management as the nearby White Horse.
Historic Interest
This was an ancient small thatched cottage pub, owned by Sharp's Brewery of Sileby (old photo in the bar); it was rebuilt in the early-20c. Sharp's was taken over by Strettons of Derby in 1920, and the pub was later owned by Ind Coope of Burton.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
