The pub formerly had a tiny lounge on the left and a very basic bar on the right, but was refurbished in bright traditional style by Banks's Brewery in 1992 as a single U-shaped room around a central projecting servery. Reopened as a free house in 2004; then as a Black Country Ales pub in February 2016. In October 2023, the interior was refurbished as a single square room in traditional lounge style with the servery relocated rear-right. It has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, and a strong sports following. The pub offers a selection of beers and ciders from twelve handpumps, from Black Country Ales, guest breweries, and up to two real ciders. Cobs are available most times.
