This former Ansell’s house is so named because of its close proximity to the Midland Main Line railway and former railway station which closed to passengers on New Year’s Day 1968. Some years ago now, the once individual rooms were knock through to form one large room which consists of: a games area with a pool table and darts board; a central public bar type area; and a lounge bar type area. Interesting wall picture depict railway themes and scenes of bygone Kibworth. The pub also has a skittles long alley which doubles as a function room.
