An independent kitchen and bar which was created by the team behind Arts Cafe and opened in September 2013. It has a contemporary restaurant with the emphasis on fine dining, but which also serves real ale. Housed in a building dating back to the 1800s which was formerly owned by a rope and canvas manufacturer, it is set back from the main road but a concrete structure in front of the main entrance displays a big sign to guide you in. On entering the building down some steps, there's a small low-ceilinged seating area adjacent to the bar where you can just have a drink and which doubles up as a waiting area for the restaurant. Two handpumps grace the bar featuring beers from local breweries such as Roosters and Ilkley and there's a small selection of interesting bottled beers. The restaurant area is much bigger and features lots of exposed brickwork, skylights and simple lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling. There is a courtyard area for good weather. If going to eat, it is advisable to book in advance.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
