A 16th century historic coaching inn with stables, although now much modernised. Note the small coaching light window in the side passageway (there is another at the Angel).
It was recently renamed the Victoria Cross but reverted after a very short time back to The Globe due to local opposition.
There is one long room downstairs with a bar, TV and pool, while upstairs at the front there is an area that can also be used for functions.
The pub recently re-opened (March 2018) after a short closure.
