Traditional pub welcoming locals and visitors alike, a former Tetley's house, refurbished by Ossett Brewery in its trademark style of stone-flagged floors, bare-brick walls and stained glass. Six cask ales are served, mostly from the Ossett stable which also includes Fernandes, Rat, Riverhead and Salt breweries, and sometimes beers from other breweries too, often including a dark. Boxed ciders are also available, mostly Lilley's, and occasionally there may be a real cider, eg.Seacider. A popular quiz night is held on Thursdays, live bands play on Saturday nights monthly, and on the first Sunday of every month from 4pm to 8pm, a DJ plays motown, soul and funk records.
