A handsome stone building at the western end of beautiful Nidderdale. An unusual panelled entrance corridor leads to a traditionally furnished, comfortable bar with a dining room beyond. Local pictures, maps and lots of brassware decorate the walls. An open fire blazes in the bar to warm your bones after winter walking in the surrounding area of outstanding natural beauty. Next to the bar there is a rack of walking sticks which are available to purchase. Two real ales come from Masham just over the hills along a narrow road offering some of the finest views of Nidderdale, Wensleydale and across the North York Moors and Cleveland Hills, while a third ale comes from Hetton, near Grassington, in the opposite direction.
