Historic Interest
A report in the Ipswich Journal*** in Nov 1830 states that : Sunday se’nnight died, Mrs Cooper, of Saxmundham, upwards 30 years landlady of the Queen’s Head Inn. She was, for her many excellent virtues, highly respected during her life, & her death is deeply lamented by all who knew her. A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 21 Jun in 1845 states that : Queen's Head Inn, Saxmundham. Notice of thanks from G. FRENCH since taking over & confirmation that his landlord has determined to thoroughly repair his house.
