Friendly pub, popular with locals, with low beamed ceilings, white wood paneled walls, vintage local photos and a mixture of traditional and quirky decor. The L-shaped lounge bar and smaller public bar to the side. The menu is better than the usual Greene King offering with a variety of traditional home cooked food, plus jacket potatoes and baguettes for lunch. Outside is a large covered porch with steps up to a patio with round garden benches and beyond that a long narrow garden with further seating and a children's play area.
