This angular edifice was built as a pub in 1879. It is near Fawley refinery and beside a busy road, but also on the Solent Way and frequented by horse-riders. The exterior is deeply-eaved and many-gabled (there appear to have been many extensions); the interior is open-plan but contains public bar and lounge / dining areas. Food, which includes Sunday roasts, makes use of local ingredients. There is a quiz on Thursday evenings, and the pub supports ladies' and men's darts teams, and a cribbage team.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
