This former coaching inn may date from the reign of Charles II. It stands near the western end of Lymington's main shopping street, at the outer reach of the busy Saturday market. The timber-framed first floor has a gabled projecting bay resting on carved lions. The interior is light and airy, furnished with comfortable chairs and settees; it hosts music events such as DJs on Fridays and Saturdays (over 18s only). Nearby is St Thomas's church, a 13th century building restored in the 1700s.
