A large open plan layout with a central bar with stylish bar stools. Around the bar are four distinct seating areas, along with a dining area to the rear. Seating ranges from bench tables with bench seats to a line of matching semi circular Chesterfield sofas. Decoration is in the modern style with mixture of natural & pastel shaded wood panelling, wood & stone tiled floors. The pub majors on its accommodation & food and is quite up market. Al fresco drinking & dining is on pavement tables at the front on Oxford Street with weather protection provided by awnings & heaters.
Historic Interest
Back in 1884 this was the Oxford Temperance Hotel and later it was the Alliance Hotel. The hotel received its first licence 17th April 1967. In the early 1980s it was known as a'Tudor Hotel, then New Oxford Hotel from about 1985. It became O'Neill's in 1996 and White Star Tavern and Dining Rooms 2002.
