The restored long bar features up to four cask ales on handpump. The inglenook fireplace features in the large bar, and an the upstairs dining room doubles as a private function room. Occasional live music. Bijou back garden beside the self-catering cottages. An old pub for the young-at-heart. Food served daily from midday.
Historic Interest
Kirkby Lonsdale's original and oldest inn, established in the 1500s. The working inglenook fireplace is reputedly the largest in Cumbria.
