16C half-timbered with a wattle and daub fascia. In the middle ages the tenement on which the inn stands was called 'The Seven Deadly Sins'. Graffiti in a back room is put down to conspirators of the 1655 Penruddock rebellion. There is also a Priest's Hole connecting the inn with the cathedral, and the tale is told that King Charles II trod this passage in his flight from England. Now a hotel & restaurant with a large comfortable bar. Extensive Thai and English A la carte menu. Pub grub also, 11:30 - 2:30 & 7 - 9:30.
