A pleasant bar, in a hotel part of which is 12C in origin. From the 16C up until 1931 it was a working mill. Quiet setting with seating outside by river much used by fishermen and ducks. There are two pleasant walks from the city either by way of the cathedral or across the town path through peaceful water meadows to Long Bridge, where Constable painted his famous picture of Salisbury Cathedral.
